LastAct Studios is thrilled to welcome Bree Wasylenko (aka “Miss Kate” from The Next Step) for an inspiring dance workshop experience in Formby.

​

Bree Wasylenko began dancing at age 3 and turned years of competitive success into a standout professional career in Toronto. She was Top 20 on So You Think You Can Dance Canada (Season 3), then moved into choreography for major artists including Carly Rae Jepsen, Sam Smith, Serena Ryder and Shad, plus brands like Calvin Klein, Telus and CIBC. Her screen choreography includes Netflix’s Painkiller with Matthew Broderick and the Adam Sandler feature You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah. As a performer and actor, she’s appeared in hit shows including The Next Step, Star Trek, Reign, Murdoch Mysteries and more. Bree now tours teaching masterclasses internationally and is a resident choreographer for Team Canada at the Dance World Cup.

Each workshop includes:

• A full warm-up

• A high-energy combo taught by Bree

• A Q&A with Bree towards the end of the session

 

Workshop 1: Intermediate (Year 6–11 / approx. ages 10–16)

9:30am – 11:00am
This session is designed for dancers who are ready to move at an intermediate pace. Bree will offer modifications and options throughout, so dancers who are newer to training can still feel confident and included.

Workshop 2: Advanced (Year 9 - 13/ approx. ages 14 - 18)

11:30am – 1:00pm
An advanced-level workshop for young people. This session will move at a faster pace and is best suited to dancers with strong foundations who love being challenged.

Workshop 3: Advanced (Adults 18+)

1:30pm – 3:00pm
An advanced, adults-only session designed for dancers who want to really push themselves. Expect a faster pace, a big, performance-style combo, and plenty of space to focus, train hard, and enjoy the full workshop experience with Bree alongside other adult dancers.
